Pico de Gallo is a fresh tomato salsa that is sometimes called Salsa Fresca. It’s a chunky salsa made with fresh ingredients, and unlike a roasted salsa, it is uncooked.
This classic recipe is full of fresh, juicy tomatoes and crispy onions and gets a hint of heat from either serrano or jalapeño pepper.
Health Benefits Of Salsa
Salsa is a healthy, easy way to add flavor to dishes. Its ingredients are anti-inflammatory and have numerous health benefits. Besides being high in fiber
Tomatoes contain lycopene, a powerful antioxidant linked to a reduction in cancer risk and with multiple benefits for cardiovascular health. Vitamins A, C, and K support eye, bone, and skin health. Potassium helps to regulate blood pressure.
Onions are high in vitamin B, which is involved in metabolism, blood pressure regulation, and nerve function. Vitamin C helps boost the immune system and increases the production of collagen and the absorption of iron.
Fresh tomatoes: Use fresh, ripe tomatoes. I find that fresh plum tomatoes or Roma tomatoes have the best flavor.
Peppers: Serrano peppers are a spicy addition to this Pico de Gallo. If you want something with a little less heat, opt for jalapeños.
Onion: I like white onion best for this recipe, but you can also use red onion.

The Best Pico De Gallo
The awesome thing about making fresh salsa is that it is super easy. The only step is to cut everything up, add it to a bowl, and stir to combine.
STEP 1: PEPPERS + ONION
Dice the peppers, onions, and garlic. Combine with the salt and lime juice. Set aside. If you prefer, use less onion.
Remove the seeds and white membranes from the peppers for a less spicy salsa.
STEP 2: TOMATOES
Dice the tomatoes. Remove the seeds from the tomatoes and then dice them into small pieces.
STEP 3: ADD THE Tomatoes and then the Cilantro
Add the diced tomatoes and the minced cilantro to a bowl. Add a little salt and pepper. I also add a small amount of olive oil.
STEP 4: STIR TOGETHER
Stir all of the ingredients together. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed. Serve chilled or at room temperature with tortilla chips or your favorite Mexican cuisine.

1box Brownie mixwith instructions for making in a 13×9 pan + ingredients listed on the package
2cupspecansroughly chopped
1cupsugar
1 1/2cupslight corn syrup
4eggs
1/4cupunsalted butter
1 1/2teaspoonsvanilla extract
Preheat oven according to brownie package instructions.
Mix brownies according to package instructions.
Pour brownie batter into a greased 13×9-inch pan and place in the oven to bake for 23 minutes. (The cooking time for all brownie mixes is different. This brownie mix cooking time was 33 minutes, but I cooked it 10 minutes less. I suggest subtracting 10 minutes from the cooking time on the box or cooking it for 2/3 of the time.)
While the brownies cook, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla in a small saucepan. Place the saucepan on the stovetop over medium-high heat and begin to cook, stirring continuously. Cook the filling until it begins to thicken. Add the pecans into the mixture and continue to cook until the mixture is thicker but pourable. You still want it to be pourable.
When the brownies have finished with the first round of baking, remove them from the oven, poke the top with a fork or skewer, and pour the pecan pie filling over them, spreading it out to cover the brownies completely.
Place them back in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the filling seems pretty set. Let cool to room temperature before cutting

The beergarita perfectly encapsulates laid-back summer sipping. For starters, it all happens in one pitcher—no intense multistep mixing here. And it combines the familiarity of a margarita with the effervescence of beer. Crisp, bright flavors of Mexican lager mellow out punchy citrus and tequila, making this drink just right for hot days.
We love mixing up a batch for game-day gatherings, backyard barbecues, and all-day porch hangs. Swap in other acidic juices such as grapefruit, lemonade, or even mango nectar to remix the vibe. If you’re hosting a bash, create a mixed salt station to allow guests to customize their own glasses. Think chile-lime as in Tajín, flaky sea salt, and even the pink stuff, for whimsy.
